I play BE on Nintendo Switch, but I'm sure this issue applies to multiple platforms. If my Switch controllers disconnect from the console while I'm playing Minecraft, the Switch controller dialog opens over the game, however the game continues to tick.
This has led me to die on multiple occasions, either from drowning or not being able to defend myself from mobs, because I have to wait for the controllers to reconnect and then click Ok before I can control my character again. It is incredibly frustrating and just unnecessary. The game stops if the console power dies, or if I open the screenshots folder, so why doesn't it stop if the remotes disconnect?
So: the game should default to pausing/quitting if the input source stops responding (or if a console dialog box comes up on screen).
