Remove fish collision with boats

Firstly I'd like to say upfront that I play on java edition, so I'm not sure if this is a problem in bedrock as well.

It's very frustrating when I'm navigating a narrow river or canal in a boat, and I'm stopped dead because a fish or squid was close to the surface. 

I'm not sure how collision is currently handled for fish and other aquatic mobs, but if it could be removed or drastically reduced when a player is in a boat (or even if they are swimming tbh, though swimming into fish hasn't been a problem for me.) that would remove some annoyance from using the boat.

I don't think fish were ever meant to be an obstacle for players to navigate, so it would be greatly appreciated if that possibility was removed.

    I agree, fish should overall have a smaller collision box because they get stuck and vibrate when in fish tanks and small water pockets

    Do fishes no-clip through boats irl my dood? No, they don't. No-clipping fishes should not be a thing... this suggestion is dumb, luv your outfit tho
