Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Shockstone ore/dust

Shockstone ore is a yellow ore found in high altitude mountains (above y 120) and is very uncommon. It can only be safely mined with a netherite pick, or else it will summon a lightning bolt. When mined with the correct tool, though, it will drop 1-2 shockstone dust, which when placed on the ground will summon a lightning bolt whenever any player or mob steps on it. Both the ore and the dust would have spark particles around them, and would make a crackling sound when the player is standing nearby.

    Another idea with this is the shockstone block, which would summon a lightning bolt when powered with redstone.

    This is a very cool idea. It would be cool if you maybe brew potions with it or something, maybe the Shock or Thunder potion. Drinking it would do no good, you’d just get struck by a lightning bolt. But turning it into a splash potion or a lingering potion would be cool, causing lightning to strike where it’s thrown. It becomes more powerful if glowstone is added and strikes twice if redstone is added. Obviously putting the potion on an arrow would create lightning arrows. I like this idea a lot

    Shock stone is a fictional ore from a completely different game, it’s like adding creeper to terraria

    Of course, it could always have a different name like “thunderstone” or simply “stormstone”
