End Portal should put you in End Islands first

Why does the end portal send you straight to the Ender Dragon first? Instead they should add a dramatic build up, like having the player search through the end islands for a portal that takes you to the dragon. Or what if you could find the dragon island whlie searching through the end islands! Anyways, I just thought that it was odd fighting the dragon and then exploring the end. Right now, to me, it feels like if Bowser(from Mario) was the first level in the final boss world. Thanks and suggestions are welcome!

  I feel like it should be the way as it is, but instead, have a new final boss that feels more climactic and challenging.

  do you want to collect the elytra before fighting the end dragon? I'm not sure how mojang could do this, but I'm voting for the idea. (don't forget to vote for yourself)
