Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Maybe they could have special properties like increased durability or speed.

Also you should be able to craft stone tools with stone.

You can't craft a stone cutter without these so it has more of a use than the structural blocks. However I did up-vote it because I agree about the tool situation. Plus it would be nice to be able to spend diorite on a tool so I dont have to look at it.

It also makes sense because you can make stone tools with blackstone.

It kinda sounds like a feature that wont get used much, but it is a great way use up all of those nearly useless blocks in your inventory after a hard day of mining on your new minecraft world. Maybe they could have the same durability as stone, so you can save your stone for something else. Or possibly be better than stone in some way? It just makes sense so i'm voting.

Same now you can craft stone tools from Grimstone, so this idea makes even more sense.
Additionally, it should be possible to craft stone tools from ordinary stone.
