More superpowers by collecting powergems or creating more powerful potions

We would be able to collect powergems and use them for getting superpowers like laser eyes or flying without needing elytra wings.  Powergems would need to be a new item (doesn't exist yet in Minecraft), so if we want to stick with existing items, there could just be new potions available for additional superpowers.  Higher speed and strength than what's currently available with the normal potions.  Anti-gravity force, telekinesis, ability to control herds of animals, to teleport an item or a mob to another location.  Earth, water, fire, air-bending kind of like Avatar.  Things like that.
