I would like to talk about shields.
Currently, some part of the community wants them being instant, blocking a % or certain amount of damage, something that they can call "blockhitting" (attack while blocking), and other part wants to see somehow the reintrodduction of better shields that block more, even to 100%, and that in compensation they're not instant.
It seems like we can't make both sides happy, but theres a way to make it work!
I suggest to add a new type of "shield", named buckler, which is a weaker and ligher version of a shield, that can work as currently the v8b shield works, rises instantly, they block projectiles, and melee attacks to some point, (a % or a base amount, or a mix of both) They can already get an easy recipe, something that is easy for early game.
Then the other type, the actual shield, that works like the shields did on v5, only rises if the attack is charged to 200%, and once its fully charged you can block and unblock instantly, but if you attack you cannot block until its charged again. The recipe for this shield could maybe be the current shields recipe but inverted, requiring 6 iron ingots, and 1 wooden plank, or maybe it can be 1 quartz, something like that.
This addition satisfies both sides, and at the same time, gives more room for balancing, since they're unbalanced now, and even creates a new weapon, which means that new playstyles are open!
I've suggested already this idea to small groups of people and they seem to overall like it a lot!
