Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Add a Pull Ring for Chains to activate things

Add a pull ring that you can attach to the bottom of a chain.  When you click on the pull ring it sends a redstone pulse up the chain to the block it connects to.  You could extend the chain up to basically make it an unlimited signal, but it only travels up.  An animation could move the whole chain up and down about half a block.  A nice bit of a classic horror trope ala Addams Family Values or just a way to ring the bell in the steeple.  Hooking it to a tripwire hook at the top could transfer the signal into that block, giving it one block of horizontal movement.

-If that sounds overpowered you could limit the range, or maybe add a more expensive block it has to anchor to a the top, but there are already compact ways to send pulse's down instantly.  

-Of course a full on pulley system would be even cooler, but baby steps.  :)

    It would be able to send signals in any direction except down, but could only send the signals in one way, and cannot change direction like Redstone dust.
