(Realms) Set Render Distance as Function of Player Count
I'm assuming that the base render distance of 10-12 chunks for a Realm is based on the worst case scenario of all 10 players online simultaneously. A way to potentially incorporate a higher render distance without overtaxing hardware would be to increase the available render distance for fewer players in the Realm. While it may not be a linear relationship, this could greatly increase the experience for players that only run 2-5 people in their realm while still falling well under the "hardware allocation budget."
As a consumer I feel like I'm wasting money paying for a service that is designed for 10 players when I only usually play with 2-4 people, but am receiving hardware-based limitations as if there are 10 in my Realm.
