Doors in the middle of a block

Doors can be placed in the middle of the block to match up to the walls

    How would they open though? They wouldnt be openable if a block occupied a space in front of the door this way...

    Simply don't let the door be placed down if there's a block interrupting it's open state? Just give the option of placing the door in the middle or on the corner of a block, as you normally would. That'd be a real nice feature. Is there perhaps a mod that currently made something like this possible?

    Would love to see a feature like this much like  glass panes are mid block.  admittedly it would  potentially  end the air block provided for doors placed underwater.

    How can we use pressure plates if doors won't be able to open if there's a block infront

    Hear me out... Make a double door but only one block... it could open like fence gates, but door.
