Seeing as there’s a new combat patch I thought it would be a good time to post my idea. I’m sure that there have been many posts about Warped Warts, but I have my own idea on the uses of them. Of course they can craft blue nether brick, but I think it could have another use. Seeing as normal nether wart is used for potion brewing, warped wart could be used for something similar, sword rub. Sword rub works similarly to tipped arrows, as in it inflicts a potion effect when you hit something with it. Except seeing as it’s a melee weapon the potion effect is greatly reduced and only lasts for a short while. Sword rubs would be brewed using a bottle of honey instead of water, and warped wart instead of nether wart to make a base rub, then any potion effect can be added on to it. You would apply it using a smithing table. Warped warts would grow in warped valleys, which are booms that form between a soulsand valley and warped forest, making them fairly rare. I think not only would this small change add a feature that has been missing, but also give honey a more important use and add a whole new level to combat, for example adding harming to a sword would be an extra sharpness enchantment that heals the undead but harms the living, or slowness could make it easier to hit what your fighting, if only fit a second.
