GPS jumps effect on adventure

I'm sure most users have experienced GPS jumps. I recently placed an adventure right as one of these jumps occurred, then was told the adventure was too far away. I was able to play, but lost time waiting for another GPS jump. Would be nice if the adventure owner could join the adventure from a distance.
