Adjustment for mending enchantment

When I go mining with a mending pickaxe and I gain xp as I am mining a block, the animation and timer for breaking a block stops because the xp is added to my picks durability. It isn't a huge change to the game, but I think it would be nice if somehow they can change it so the mining animation doesn't stop and you can just continue to mine without it stopping  when I mine.
