Stonghold Monster

The Stronghold, though an interesting place is only used for one thing, finding the end portal. 

However, finding the end portal is just annoying, it's not very hard in any way. That should change

That's where the Stronghold Monster would come in. It would chase you throughout the stronghold to make your experience looking for the portal more interesting and memorable.

    Except you can just tunnel out of the area or block passages off

    I agree in that strongholds could be more interesting. However, there is a second useful feature of strongholds: the library room, containing lots of books for enchanting and trading as well as OP enchanted books. 

    Having a designated (and from the sounds of it, singular) Stronghold Monster seems weird; it's like a boss you have to confront right before you fight the actual boss. Part of what makes the Ender Dragon fight interesting is that it's the first real boss you have to fight.

    noodle plexian I wasn't thinking it would be a boss necessarily. I thought it would have the health of a elder guardian and mainly just be a roadblock.
