With 1.16.2, turning distortion effects to 0% now introduces a nausea vignette instead of view distortion.
Giving players the ability to decide what color the nausea vignette overlay is would be highly rewarding. With resourcepacks and datapacks, map makers could change the nausea overlay color to red and adjust the level depending on a players health which would function as a very efficient method for visually displaying their health.
Similarly, this effect with a blue color could accompany a snowy map and give the player a frosty atmosphere. Having a colored vignette accompany another effect visually is something players rejoice over.
Lots of possibilities from a small implementation, and it would be a crowd sensation.
