SUMMARY
Add the mill, a furnace-like block that grinds stone into sand. This allows for concrete mass-production, and opens up TNT duplication to being patched.
RATIONALE
Sand is used in high quantities but is basically nonrenewable. TNT is used in many automatic mechanisms such as wood farms or concrete converters, but having to manually gather sand defeats its time-saving qualities. This (along with dispensers being in Java Edition) is why TNT duplication is so popular.
I think introducing sand farming is a much better solution than not patching TNT duplication.
THE MILL
The mill acts like a furnace, but does not smelt; the mill uses fuel to keep running, not heat itself up to smelt something. Instead, the mill has a small number of grinding recipes. It interacts with hoppers in the same way that furnaces do.
The mill could be crafted by surrounding a netherite ingot with iron blocks, the idea being that sand farming is probably a late-game project. Or, the recipe might require diamond instead in the centre, or iron ingots along the outside.
GRINDING RECIPES
The main grinding recipe would be grinding stone into sand. Stone variants like granite could work too.
Another possibility is that stone could first be ground into gravel, which could in turn be ground into sand; if piglin-based gravel farming is too slow, this could be an alternative way of farming gravel.
