Use Shears to stop plant growth

I believe that shears should be able to be used to stop the growth of different plants, like bamboo, sugar cane, and Cactus. when you would right-click the chosen plants and change their block state into "Trimmed" State. This state does not change the drops and when broken and the action of "Trimming" the plants does not drop anything at all. This Block State will stop extra plant blocks from growing on top of the plant and adds an alternate texture that shows that the plant has changed states. This texture could be a simple flower, or limiting the block to half its height, to show that is has been changed. Once the block is Broken however you receive the original version and that can be planted back to another point and continue as a usual plant. This change would allow for better gardening and could allow for a lot smoother building styles when creating authentic gardens without so much string, especially for bamboo.
