Render Custom Items in all armor slots

Currently only the helmet slot renders any item that is put into it, whenever any items are put into the other 3 slots they will not render unless they are the appropriate armor.

Though they don't need to render items it would be really useful if they did as it means that you wouldn't need buggy or laggy work arounds to adding custom armor in vanilla Minecraft. 

(an example would be adding backpacks or something like that without changing or removing armor from the game)

    Yeah, I think this could allow us to do wayyyy more with datapacks and command blocks. Unique armor sets, backpacks, cosmetics, there's so much we could do with it if they would just let us have this one thing.

    this would make server resource packs so much better, imagine a cosmetic system with hats, shirts, pants, shoes, and hand items. currently all we can do is hats and hand items which is only 2.

    It's a shame that after years this proposal has not received the success it deserved.
    It would be an extraordinary novelty for all developers and would allow a truly remarkable amount of features in the servers.
