They won't do that, we don't even have it on Windows binary yet because they want people to use the Microsoft Store. (Same happened with AOE)

This would be my favorite thing, as I have a Chromebook (I play on console) and then I could get it on chromebook without developer mode.

I think this would be a great idea to give users of gnu/Linux a way to play with android players without modding mc

Yes, we (Linux users) need to get official support to run minecraft bedrock edition natively.
We need minecraft bedrock for GNU/Linux!

You can use the mobile port if you have it on the google play store. It does not have the minecraft store because the developer does not know how to implement the store. It should be extremely easy to compile for Linux but no one have the source code except for the minecraft team.
    sudo flatpak install io.mrarm.mcpelauncher
    (or use your software manager)

They should just put bedrock and java including the Launcher on Steam now that they make it one price. That would work for all PC platforms, but no, they have to do that Microsoft Store stuff.

I think that this should be possible. They ported it to consoles. Also it can be bought from the website now, as it seems. Also it is implemented into the launcher and could be ran on Mac and Linux. I don't see why they should not (be able to) port the game.

You can get an unofficial launcher online that works (for both mac and even better on Linux) and run nearly perfectly yet Mojang still hasn't even added it officially themselves...seems like Microsoft is stopping them...and Mac doesn't even have it either so I doubt it'll be added for Linux first

Problem minecraft bedrock is writen in c++ which is platform dependent platform so they must do some changes to the code, plus why Microsoft would want to suppoer concurent platform? But it would great. (sorry for bad english)

Mojang, please add support for Bedrock on Linux and MacOS, as this would make both Bedrock and Java playable on all PC platforms

Please, I have bought Minecraft on nearly all platforms and still can't properly play Bedrock on Linux. They seem to want to focus more on cross-play, but Java is still the only real cross-platform version for desktop.
