netherite armour should make you fire protected

netherite doesn't burn so when you wear it you shouldn't either

Yes, and no, you shouuld take REDUCED fire damage. Permanent fire resistance would be overpowered. Maybe it could be like the turtle shell in the sense that it gives you 10 seconds of fire resistence (only when full set is on).
