So you built your clock and now you can tell what time it is even if you can't see the sun/moon. (provided the dimension you're in has a sun or moon) But what if clocks had one more function?
Introducing the alarm clock function of clocks. While in your hand you can interact with the clock's GUI to select one of the listed times: Morning, Day, Noon, Afternoon, Evening, Night, Midnight, & Aftermidnight (as examples). Then, while the clock is still in your hand, simply go to sleep regardless of the current time of day. When the time you selected is up you will wake up, skipping the rest of the day. In single player this works like normal sleeping but with the option to choose when you sleep and wake up. In multiplayer you would be AFK in bed and skip time till the next alarm set by someone sleeping in the same dimension as you goes off, at which point you can choose to return to bed and sleep till the next alarm goes off, or you choose to wake up ahead of the time you selected like normal. As long as you sleep for at least 1 "time segment" (Day-Noon, Noon-Afternoon, Afternoon-Evening, etc.) it counts to re-setting your insomnia.
This feature is useful to choose to skip the day so you can work on night related projects, and in multiplayer would allow for role playing purposes in multiplayer settings.
(I had posted this yesterday but the post seems to have disappeared without explanation)
