Agreed, hate having hostile mobs spawn inside my base in the Nether.

100% agree. I actually just started building my nether outpost for potion crafting in the crimson forest. All was well until I realized I couldnt stop the hoglins from spawning inside the base (ON HALF BLOCK FLOORS) 😩 literally just started searching for answers and apparently nether wart blocks and magma blocks are the only blocks known that they cant spawn on. I believe that they shouldn't be able to spawn on half blocks ! Idk about lighting cause some people use them as a breed able food source. But players should be able to spawn proof their homes at the very least.!

I'm currently playing single biome of Crimson Forest and Hoglins ARE spawning on half slabs. Not sure if its a bug with just single biome since its Crimson Forest in the Overworld. But only thing that stops them from spawning are the Nether Wart Blocks and Shroomlights.

I am late as heck here but this definitely should be looked into. Slabs everywhere make the Nether look ugly, and the nether update was supposed to make it more convienient to live in it, but why even bother if the mobs can spawn literally everywhere in any light level unless there are certain blocks placed in every single space possible xdd
