Remove Villagers turning into Witches when struck by lightning

Honestly, I don't see what the point in making Villagers turn into Witches when hit by lightning is. Unlike Zombie and Villager interactions, this adds nothing meaningful to the game other than annoy the absolute hell out of the player when it does happen.
