Is just me, or anyone else not a fan of the granite blocks, even the polished versions. Some people hate the look of gravel, but personally, I think granite has a lot worse textures. Not very good blocks to build in, even for terraforming or for underground in general. I think they're a bit ugly. And since I don't like it, don't get me started with the countless times I mine and the granite just takes spots in my inventory and so many times I have to throw it out. It would greatly overhaul the blocks for the better if it would be retextured. I know you could make your own textures of them, but as a community I'm pretty sure many can say the same thing about this. Building with them in your own custom texture pack with the granite looking good would make it so ugly and confusing for those in the regular texture pack. Doing this would make the blocks so much better. It would give an amazing reason to actually collect it, and build with it, especially easily in survival. It would also make it much more convenient if it could be used to make stone tools. So you don't always have to rely on just cobblestone or Blackstone. I would love to see an improvement to the granite.

Why not?
personally, I'm ok with the current Granits texture, but I'd love to see more of a pink Granite look. As you can see in the picture below, Pink Granite IRL is brighter, and with more of a speckled feel. I would keep the current MC granite color, but the texture should be more like this.
