Wearing Black Leather Armor At Night Makes it Harder for Mobs to See You

If you wear black dyed leather armor at night, mobs can not spot you until you are 4 or 5 blocks away from them.

Interesting.... Maybe expanding on this so different colors provide a certain degree of camouflage in different biomes, affect mobs in different ways (villagers offering a discount if you wear their village colors) maybe? This would give a reason to keep leather armor and dye it besides liking the color yourself.
