Fire hardening tools

This update would be reminiscent of how cave men would improve their tools before copper and tin were discovered. This would take the preexisting campfire block and give it a new mechanic. Stone and wood tools, and even sticks would be cooked over a campfire to produce a stronger version of the tool. Each would respectively receive +1 to damage and +30 to usage/durability. The item would be renamed fire hardened or improved stone/wood sword, axe, hoe whatever 

Sticks would only receive the durability upgrade. But when you craft the stronger sticks into tools like bows, fishing rods or swords those tools will have the improved durability. These tools would be named either strong or improved bow, fishing rod or whatever.

    You're wrong. The firing of wooden tools was carried out with only one purpose - sharpening without planing. But if any of the tools is made on a workbench, then it is already understood that it is planed.
    As for hardening, only those materials that have the necessary allotropic modifications - iron can be hardened.
