Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Kites

The banners have some functions in the game, but what if they had more?

My suggestion is to create kites with the banners, using them and adding strings in the crafting, the kites would have the same images that were present in the banner.

The functionality of the kites can vary, from decoration to even means of location, and can be attached to fences, it would serve as a way of locating places, as it would be flying and symbolize a place that you marked.

With the kites, Minecraft sky would be even more colorful and would help a lot in the exploration, with ways to score important points.

    I support this idea out of sheer love of kites. It could serve as a visual marker hanging in a ceaseless current high up into the clouds...but you need wind mechanics.

    How else could a kite be useful? Like if wind blew on it could it pull something?

    I think the kites could be tied to animals too, and could serve as a tracker, but small animals could be blown away, a wind mechanic would help in the possibilities. I also thought that they could be of some use with elytras, perhaps for better control. There are many possibilities that kites hold, but I cannot think of all of them alone.

    With the kites, i will no longer need to build a tower of blocks to locate my house
