The Stonecrusher
Currently in Minecraft there is no way to get infinite gravel and sand, that I know of. The stonecrusher will fix that.
The item will be two blocks tall, with a hydraulic press looking arm coming down from the top to the bottom. It will be steam powered, meaning you have to put in a fuel source and water. Let’s say the fuel crushes as many blocks as it cooks in a normal furnace. Each bucket of water crushes 5 blocks.
It will have a GUI similar to the furnace, but three input slots, and one output slot. Hoppers going into the top will input into the block to be crushed slot. Hoppers into the sides of the higher part of the block will input into the fuel slot, and hoppers going into the front and back of the higher part of the block will put in the water buckets.
What is crushed into what:
Stone will be crushed into cobblestone (it’s all cracked from being squished)
Cobblestone will be crushed into gravel (crushed rock)
Gravel will be crushed into sand (even more crushed rock)
Concrete will be crushed into concrete powders.
Bricks will be crushed into clay.
Stone/prismarine/basalt etc brick blocks will be crushed into the cracked variant.
Crafting recipe should involve a diamond as the tip of the crusher arm, and to make it a lateish game thing.
Idea for recipe: piston top middle, diamond in middle, smooth stone bottom middle, iron blocks bottom left & bottom right, glass bottles top left & right, and coal mid left and mid right.
