I would like to suggest a new treasure enchantment appliable for swords (maybe also for tridents?) - Absorption. It would provide a x% chance to prevent Slimes and Magma Cubes from dividing into smaller sizes. As it would be a treasure enchantment you would only be able to find it in generated structures (f.e buried chests). Just like the existing Soul Speed enchantment it would have 3 levels - the higher the level would be, the higher chance to prevent the spawn of smaller mobs. I would suggest the following values:
Absorption I - 33% chance to prevent mob dividing
Absorption II - 50% chance to prevent mob dividing
Absorption III - 66% chance to chance to prevent mob dividing
