The leaves are snowier than before

Some ideas for how to bring Bedrock snowy leaves functionality into Java without ruining people's builds:

  • Like in Bedrock, naturally generated leaves would turn white during snowfall. Player placed blocks of this type will always be green.
  • All types of saplings can be snowlogged, and will generate with permanently white leaves with snow on top and on the ground underneath. Player placed blocks of this type will always be white.
  • Crafting green leaves and white leaves together will yield two leaves (or green leaves and a snowball for one) that will not decay, but will change colour depending on snowfall.

These small changes and additions aim to make snowy leaves more flexible in builds.

    I am not certain this is the best idea because, as far as I know, most leaves don't turn white. If they can survive in the snow, they remain green and simply have snow on top of them.

    This is a so cool idea, because i really want white leaves in Minecraft Java edition, it will be really usefull for builds
