Unique Gear Crafting Idea

So this was an idea that I had for the game a while back, and I shared it on Reddit, and one of the users suggested that I should share it here as well. 

Basically, crafting unique gear and weapons would work almost like a crafting table with schematics(recipes). Before anything, you would need to unlock the different schematics for the gear which are essentially the recipes. You could get these from killing bosses and maybe some high level mobs as well. Then once you obtain the schematics, you can use these schematics to find the different materials that are needed to craft the gear that you would like, for example: In order to craft a firebrand axe, you would need to find sticks, blaze powder, iron, etc etc. I

It's a fairly simple idea, but I think it would add a lot of replay value to the game, and would fit well since it's about crafting.

    I have something similar what you said on top of a way to upgrade the enchantment that the unique has which makes it unique using a similar way of what you said. And if you could craft new rarer unique that are or can be a bit of a pain to craft thus making it stronger. For example you could combine a fighters bindings with nightmares bite so it would be gauntlets with poison cloud and a sharp blade on the bindings. And the same with bows armor and other weapons and artifacts (like you could make a speed ghost type item by crafting ghost cloak and boots of swiftness) this would also make it more interesting for players and collectors alike.
