I believe caiman lizards would be a perfect fit for minecraft. They would spawn in swamp biomes or rarely in jungle biomes. I believe maybe they could be passive or neutral towards players and aggressive to their food, cod, and snails. I think killing a snail would give you a snail shell. This could be put inside of a brewing stand and make potions of resistance, and can be used to calm an agitated caiman lizard. When two calm caiman lizards are fed snail shells or cod, they could breed and result in a baby caiman lizard. Caiman lizards are not fit in a dry environment, so I think, they would recieve some sort of debuff in biomes such as the desert biome, savanna biome, badlands, and the nether. Not only these biomes would be dangerous though, caiman lizards are cold blooded reptiles after all, so blocks such as snow and ice would harm the lizard.
