Nether Thorns

Thorn bushes but in the nether. It would look like thick black weeping vines with thorns sticking out of it. It could be placed in any direction. It could only be placed on soul sand, soul soil, or gravel. The best tools to mine it are the hoe and shears. It can be bonemealed to make it grow and spread to nearby blocks it can grow on. It is immune to fire, since it comes from the nether. It would slow down an entity upon contact and rapidly deal low amounts of damage. If the entity's head is completely submerged in it, it will gain the blindness effect until it escapes. It would generate in the Soul Sand Valleys and form in large patches near the corners, walls, and fossils. It could be used as a defense for when something tries to attack a player by jumping on them. The player could place it where the enemy lands. It could be an alternative to lava, because lava has a risk of damaging the player if they don't get away before it reaches them, or if the enemy has fire resistance. This could possibly be added in an update where there are new plants added in.
