The Piglin Elders are a unique variant of the Piglins. Unlike common Piglins, Piglin Elders are completely nonhostile at all times. Piglin Elders can only be found deep within Bastion Remnants, and are highly respected in Piglin society. Because of this, all Piglins within a small radius of a Piglin Elder will become neutral, this effect will continue unless the Piglin Elder is harmed, any other Piglin is harmed, or the player removes their gold armor. If any of these things happen, all nearby Piglins will become hostile, and the Piglin elder will attempt to run away from the player. Piglins will become hostile to all players not within the Piglin Elder's radius.
What completely separates Piglin Elders from other Piglins is their bartering mechanics. Unlike regular Piglins, Piglin Elders are too old fashioned to be interested in gold, if the player attempts to throw gold at a Piglin Elder, they will examine it, shake their head, then throw it back to the player. However, If the player attempts to throw Netherite ingots, Piglin Elders can give extremely valuable items. They can vary from common items like enchanted books to rare items like Netherite tools and armor, and in some very rare cases, even Nether Stars!
