Mushrooms blocks shouldn’t be an spawnable block

I understand mushrooms generally (but not always) generate in unspawnable biomes for mobs, but is a shame as a builder when creating customizable giant mushrooms the need of putting torches or carpets to prevent ninja creepers. I know they are full blocks but now in the nether wart blocks are treated as unspawnable blocks for nether mobs even if they aren't transparent.
