We've all experienced it. You place a directional block in the way it's not supposed to be placed.
The solution: less confusion so we always know how to place directional blocks like stairs, pistons, logs, observers and basalt.
I think if we were to place all of the directional blocks like we would with logs, it wouldn't be such a pain to place pistons the right way in a tight place. I you click on the top of the block, the directional block will be facing upwards as well. This means with the piston face, the inside of the log, the face of the observer, or the cobble side of basalt. With stairs we still need to place it on the bottom or top section, but we can place it vertically by clicking on the right or left side of the bottom or top block. If we click on the side of a block, it will be just like now, except the stair will be facing the same side.
For things like repeaters and comparators is it fine the way it is. That will only be more confusing to place if we were to do it like all the other blocks.
