Nether portals are a tricky topic with its complicated algorithm and looking at coordinates. It is rare to spawn in the nether and be in an area you want to build your base in, but you don't have much choice because your nether portal is there. What if there was an easier, in-game way to fix portals and go to specific portals when creating a hub. It is extremely frustrating to have built a beautiful base in the nether and you try to connect your portal but it is too far away from the original portal to link up to. With this in mind what if there was a way to craft a syncing block from 8 crying obsidian and any dye and it will give you two syncing blocks with that color. You place one in a single corner of each portal and that will link the portals together. Now this can be expanded to if you put up to 4 different syncing block of each corner of a portal. To pick which one you'd like to go to you simply right click the color and the color of the portal will change to that color to show where its going! If a portal that is synced is broken, it will make a sound (similar to the respawn anchor) as well as the portal will just take you to where it would typically generated if it wasn't synced. This will make creating a nether hub way easier and convenient as well as removing that irritating connection issue between distant portals. please comment any kind of questions/issues with this idea!
