Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Netherite Is A Gold Alloy

Netherite is now the most valued item in the game. It takes a long time to get and yet it isn't worth using full armor in the nether. Netherite is a great tool, however in the nether you are better off not using it in full. This because piglins will attack you unless you're wearing gold armor. So because piglins are found all over the nether it is actually better for players to wear some gold instead. This doesn't seem right because netherite is now one of if not the hardest item to get, this coupled with the fact that netherite is a gold alloy it just doesn't make sense for a piglin to attack you if you are wearing full armor. I believe that netherite armor should have the same effect on piglins as gold armor because netherite contains gold and this gives players another incentive to get it. Mojang could do this two different ways. They could make it so one piece of netherite armor pacifies piglins or they voted make it so wearing full netherite armor pacifies them. I would choose the first option because otherwise if players want to wear an elytra the would have to still wear gold, meaning only 2 pieces of netherite could be worn at a time which is what we have with diamond right now. However no one can tell mojang what they can and cannot do so the choice would be theirs.

    good idea, but when you look at netherite you can't see the gold in it, so how do you expect piglins to know that there is gold in netherite.

    I found this thread by googling "is netherite an alloy" and personally, I like this idea.

    in response to oopugoo: the piglins probably know that gold is used in the creation of netherite, considering that netherite ingots can be found in chests inside the bastion remnants they call their homes. (and considering that the piglins attack you if you try to take stuff out of the chests in said bastions, I think it's safe to say that those chests weren't left behind by the people who previously lived there)

    Why would you assume that the chests weren't left behind? The piglins just claimed them. The piglins never interact with the chests themselves, even after being traded with... and if piglins can make netherite, that would imply a greater ability to interact with the world around them by interacting with blocks, in which case why would they not be able to fix their ruined "bastion remnants?" Piglins also will trade for gold over netherite. 

    Finally, piglins probably don't care if it is made from gold, as they care if it is shiny and golden, while I agree that netherite is more valuable and respecable to US it is not to THEM. It is also a reason to use gold armor, even after getting netherite, which is nice, to say the least.
