Chains could get longer when you keep clicking the chain, like scaffolding

I started playing 1.16 today and when I placed chains and saw that you couldn't keep clicking one chain to make it longer, I thought it would be cool to do, I could see it as being like scaffolding but goes down instead of up, and could even break all of the chains underneath when one breaks

    I'd like to see this be capable of bring fine horizontally too.
