Infinity Portals to reach custom dimensions

Custom World generation with the new JSON format is an amazing way for users to create their own dimensions, but at the moment you have to break immersion to get to them (/execute  tp).

The portals from the infinity snapshot seem like an ideal way to implement travel to and from these new dimensions, without breaking immersion. I feel like the ability to edit the dimension of an built portal (outside of the game) would be the best way to achieve this.

importantly, the majority of the work for this is already done! it just requires joining up existing mechanics. 

Of course, these new dimensions could be implemented fully within the game using a similar mechanic to brewing or banners (i.e. adding ingredients to edit aspects of a token that is then used to initiate a portal).

    Definitely an interesting idea to be expanded upon, although it is already possible to make pseudo-portals with the use of repeat command blocks teleporting entities within a certain area (or normal command blocks set off by a redstone trigger). The difficulty would likely be in how custom dimensions are not a part of standard world generation so it would probably be awkward to implement it in a way that encompasses both unlimited arbitrary options while still being useful with none.

    to bad something simular to mystcraft craft cant be added to the game so you can make dimensions in game.
