My idea is a new game mode without all the new updates to give new players a feel of what Minecraft was like without all these updates, and to give old players the nostalgia of playing Minecraft like they used to without all these overly helpful updates.
Just to take the game back for those who choose to. To when villages weren't a thing, back to Minecrafts former undeveloped stages.
I feel the gain Minecraft and the players will get from this is old players who gave up playing the game from the updates will return and new players can experience what the glory of todays minecraft was before the updates.
The new game mode could be called "The Beginning." (always up for better names)
This new game mode will have 2 difficulties which you are given the choice of when you select the game mode a secondary box will appear holding the 2 choices which will be easy or hard, once selected you sort out all the other settings like you would only this time the starter chest isn't a option along with creative mode and activate cheats.
This will all result in game where you need knowledge and skill to survive, there will be no villages, temples or dungeons of any sort, creating a completely new (to some) and forgotten minecraft experience.
Optional
A extra choice will be given to those who want it where in the setting just above activate cheats there will be a setting called manual crafting, this is where you choose to have automatic(no) or manual (yes) crafting.
