Time Machine

Time Travel in Minecraft would be extremely simple no traveling to the future but you can travel back to the past. Heres how it works you would build a time machine out of redstone netherite and a nether star. You would then place the time machine down it would be an entitie similar to the boat and minecart. Then you sit down and press the time travel button technically you wouldn't be traveling back in time you would be going to a past save so once you hit the time travel button you would get taken to a menu showing previous saves each save would have a picture of where you were when it was saved you would then pick a save and before travelling back in time it would save in the present once back in time you can do what you wanted to do wether it be stay in the past before you lost your diamonds or your dog or something. Also if you go to the past you keep everything in your inventory once you go back in time you have to have a free space for your time machine. If youd like to go to the future you would do the same thing over again and you select a future save. Also you can take stuff from the past and bring it to the future. And nothing you do in the past effects the future otherwise that would be far to confusing.
