Dark Oak Trees Drop More Saplings

I think that the drop rate for dark oak saplings should be higher. You need 4 dark oak saplings to grow a dark oak tree, and due to the low leaf count in those trees, you typically do not get enough saplings to make a new dark oak tree. This really affects me and many others especially in a skyblock world where saplings are vital to continued availability of wood resources. I really like the look of dark oak, and increasing the drop rate for dark oak saplings would help to make it a better renewable resource. Thanks for the consideration!

    I agree. This problem has been around since version 1.7 or earlier and makes it permanently impossible to manage or grow a dark oak biome in the long run. All other trees drop more saplings than you need to plant that particular tree. This problem really needs to be resolved.

    This really should be getting more attention. Anyone who farms every tree type knows that dark oak saplings often don't drop at a high enough rate to replace trees. Cherry trees have a crazy high rate, so I don't see a reason not to increase the rate for dark oak.

    Still an issue as of 1.21.10 Java. Trying to start a dark oak farm near base and I am losing saplings overtime due to some trees dropping only 3 or 2.
