In the Nether, right at the top there is a bedrock ceiling. This is supposed to stop players from gaining access to the area above the Nether however for many years now players have been finding new ways to get through that layer and have access to the land above for building farms or giant builds ect. I think this area has massive unused potential. I think the bedrock layer should be replaced by a new block that can ONLY be mined using a netherite pickaxe at the speed of mining Obsidian. The block could be called something like Hardened Blackstone or Crystalised Obsidian or something like that and instead of the ceiling being a flat layer it would be more jagged like the formation of bedrock at the bottom of the overworld so harder to navigate. The top of the nether would also be its own biome, and could be a ghost like area of the nether with a creepy soundtrack and a new mob called the Haunt, which is a floating ghost like mob that goes in and out of being invisible as it creeps up on the player. Other things like old ruins of structures could be found up here but the general way the area works would be as it is now, just a large mostly flat area that players can build farms. By changing it like ive said it would add more to this area in making it more spooky, interesting and making it feel like a proper part of the game.
