Thicker / Adjustable Block Outline (Java Edition)

As a visually impaired player, I think it would be extremely helpful to be able to adjust the thickness / color of the block selection outline. It is sometimes difficult for me to see, especially in darker environments. Alternatively, having the entire  block glow or become brighter when hovered over would be helpful. Maybe there could be presets, or it could be included as part of resource packs to permit quickly switching between different line thicknesses / colors?

    I'd definitely love this. It's very hard to see the outline of the block you're looking at. The thin black outline just blends in too much. I'm not visually impaired but it would really help with counting and spacing builds as I often lose track of which block I'm counting if they're the same type of block.

    Yes! Such an easy way to improve inclusivity and it would also make a big difference for building/counting blocks because it really is quite difficult to count multiple blocks of the same type without losing track.

    It should be quite easy to implement this too. I would suggest to just add the option for different thickness and colour (for colour-blind people especially) under video settings with a few presets

    I would like the setting that lets you turn off the block outline and when you turn it off it highlights the block in a semi-transparent white ( I am aware this is a bedrock setting but I don't think it's too hard to implement this in java.)
