Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Broken Rocks?

Imagine this. You're mapping the terrain on a mountain side, and suddenly, the ground below you crumbles! You've stepped on a broken rock! This block would generate on mountains, and on the side of cliffs. When you stepped on it, it would "crumble" below you, and you would fall through! This block could be used for traps, because it looks almost exactly like regular stone, but with slight cracks, and it would also crumble through carpets and snow! This would add a sense of danger to the mountains, because the only danger now is falling of the mountains, lava lakes, and the occasional mob. But what do you think?

    Interesting idea, but if the players falls straight down, they'll just sink until they hit the stone supporting the 'broken stone' blocks.

    So, maybe it pushes the player towards the nearest air block on the same Y level as the broken stone block, making it so they slide towards the edge of the cliff.

    What a great idea! I mean there is powdered snow, but this seems more interesting.
