I have an idea for a new block. It is called the Power Absorption Block. It can be crafted with 4 blocks of iron, 4 blocks of redstone and a sponge like so :
redstone | iron | redstone
iron | sponge| iron
redstone | iron | redstone
This block doesn't do anything on its own. It first need a power source like a lever or a redstone torch. It will then absorb all power from any redstone contraptions within a five block radius of it. They will no longer work until the block is broken or turned off. It will also disable all teleportation including : chorus fruit, ender pearls, and even enderman teleportation. I think it would make creating enderman farms would be much easier since, the endermen can't teleport out of the trap and would be good for people who want to get large amounts of ender pearls. You should also be able to set the amount of blocks within the radius of the Power Absorption Block the blocks and entities around it should be effected. You have to put a redstone wire on top of the block. Then you have to left click the redstone wire to set the amount of blocks away something has to be to be effected. You can set it anywhere from one to five.
I think this block would be very useful in the game. I would be useful for making redstone contraptions, gathering ender pearls, and it would nice to have another use for sponges besides just sucking up water.
