Guardian Lense (or Totem of the Sea)

Currently taking on an ocean monument does not feel very worth it, especially to the average survival player. The only main rewards they contain are 8 gold blocks and sponges, which aren't much to truly entice most players. I propose a new drop from the elder guardian that would make taking on the monument well worth it. This would be the Guardian Lense (or Totem of the Sea, I can't decide which name). It would drop from Elder Guardians and to use it, hold down right-click to aim at and lock onto a nearby mob or player. Once it is locked on, it will emit the guardian beam and you would no longer have to look at the target. It will then charge up the laser and fire it on the target like the elder guardian does, dealing 8 hearts of damage. It cancels the laser if you switch to a different item, or if the target moves behind a block or out of range. It would use prismarine crystals as fuel the same way bows use arrows. I feel that this would be a great addition as it would give the ocean monuments more of a reward for conquering them, and it would not be too overpowered as it would take a little time to charge up, require fuel, and would not hit if the target hides.

    you've also got to have limited use! if it were to be unlimited, it would be too powerful, it's got to break after a while, and use something to get repaired

    I think that if it goes down to 0 durability, it should display a broken texture like elytra.

    Waflaginflur and Gundabadguy, you two have good points! Maybe once it runs out of durability, it could have a broken texture and no longer work, like the elytra. So that way it doesn't disappear but you can't use it until it is repaired. I figure to repair it, you could probably either use dark prismarine, or a sea lantern, or a sponge or something.
