I cannot really agree with that idea.
This makes finding a unique build much less of a achievement. Also I don't see any other arpg doing that so it probably is not that much of a good idea.

What i would agree on is that changing enchantments on a weapon that you already enchanted should be a thing (for a emerald fee and only to enchantements that originally rolled on that item) and having multiple builds without needing to have an absurd amount of enchantement points should also be possible.

What about a separate training area in the camp, where you are allowed more freedom? You could be able to "fake enchant" your gear with fake enchantment points so that you can try out different builds without having to try and dismantle the entire build if you create something you don't like. Would be great for end game, as most of the stuff is unlocked by then, and you should've tried most of the enchantments already. Also, you don't want to enchant that power level 107 item you finally got only to find out you did something wrong.

Or we could have a "Practice Area" at camp where you could fight mobs as you would in a battle with some settings to tweek on how hard the mobs would be to defeat.

maybe that's why dungeons should do it. Also, a creative mode is a very core part of Minecraft (also just an idea maybe an in-game level builder/designer too).
