Substitute ranged attacks for magic weapons

I feel like it would be really cool and a totally different experience if you used a magic weapon and to be honest I would use them just to see the effects. I know we have artifacts, but those aren’t really magic weapons. The souls artifacts are something close. Multi shot on magic weapons to shoot 5 fireballs or something. Instead of arrows it could be magic power and it can work like souls where sometimes if you kill an enemy you get them and you can resupply it at big chests.
